Program & Curriculum Structure
The Redemptive Childbirthâ„ Curriculum is delivered in three structured intensive sessions that combine lectures, skills laboratories, case reviews, supervised assessments, and interprofessional engagement. This format ensures that graduates demonstrate both theoretical knowledge and applied competency before certification or track completion.

Session 1- Foundations & Physiologic Birth
• Anatomy & Physiology of Pregnancy & Birth • Hormonal Blueprint of Labor • Cultural Humility & Bias Awareness • Trauma-Informed Care Principles • Ethical Scope of Doula Practice • Interprofessional Communication Foundations • Evidence-Based Birth Research Review • Emotional & Spiritual Frameworks in Birth Support This foundational weekend establishes the physiologic and relational framework necessary for safe, supported birth care.
Sessions 2- Clinical Skills & Advocacy
• Comfort Measures & Labor Positioning Techniques • Pelvic Dynamics & Hands-On Skills Laboratory • Labor Progress & Support Strategies • High-Risk Considerations & Referral Protocol • Advocacy & Informed Decision-Making • Documentation & Professional Boundaries • Postpartum Planning & Fourth Trimester Support Weekend two emphasizes applied skill development, clinical discernment, and practical labor support competency.
Session 3- Professional Integration & Services
• Business & Practice Development • Medicaid & Community Systems Overview • Collaborative Care Models • Birth Case Review & Reflective Practice • Skills Demonstration & Competency Assessment • Final Written & Practical Evaluation The final intensive ensures readiness for professional practice and certification completion.
