This is the story of one woman's childbirth journey. Inspired and blessed as she speaks of the miracles of God, she has already witnessed in this pregnancy. Listen to her words as she describes the transformative power of God during the childbirth journey and The Nehemiah Birthing Project. as she prepares to birth her third child.
Fear has become the dominant voice in childbirth.
Fear of pain.Fear of complications.Fear of losing control.
Yet childbirth was never designed to be ruled by fear.
The Redemptive Childbirth℠ Movement exists to restore what has been lost—to return birth to God’s hands, where peace, trust, and purpose replace anxiety and striving. At the heart of this movement is a growing community of doulas, families, and partners who believe that childbirth is not merely a medical event, but a sacred encounter where God is present, active, and faithful.

The Nehemiah Birthing Project is honored to serve as a leading force—the head of the train—pulling together education, community, and faith-centered birth support to rebuild how we understand and experience childbirth today
Why Redemptive Childbirth℠?
Modern birth culture often teaches women to rely solely on their own strength or to surrender entirely to systems that leave them disconnected from their bodies, their voices, and their faith.
Redemptive Childbirth℠ offers another way.
It invites families to shift from fear and self-reliance to trust and surrender—to recognize God as the ultimate Deliverer. Biblical accounts remind us that birth was never outside of God’s involvement. From Eve to the Hebrew women, from Genesis onward, childbirth has always been a place where heaven meets earth.
When women release control and trust God’s presence, birth becomes not only safer and more peaceful, but profoundly transformative. Testimonies shared through this movement consistently reflect that surrender—not striving—changes outcomes
The Role of the Doula in Redemptive Birth
In this movement, doulas are not merely support persons.
They are guardians of peace, interpreters of information, anchors of calm, andwitnesses to God’s work in birth.
Redemptive doulas are trained to provide:
Skilled physical support grounded in physiology
Emotional and trauma-informed presence
Advocacy rooted in respectful collaboration
Cultural humility and bias-aware care
Spiritual sensitivity without coercion or assumption
They understand that their role is not to replace medical providers, but to come alongside families—especially in moments when fear threatens to take hold.
Introducing the Redemptive Childbirth℠ Doula Certification Program
The Nehemiah Birthing Project’s Doula Certification Program was created to prepare doulas who are both professionally competent and spiritually grounded.
This is not surface-level training.
Our certification integrates:
Evidence-based childbirth education
Hands-on physical support skills
Interprofessional communication and advocacy
Cultural humility and health equity
Ethics, scope of practice, and professionalism
A redemptive worldview that honors God’s design for birth
Students are taught not only what to do, but who they are becoming as birth workers.
Men’s involvement is also emphasized—partners are not spectators in birth, but vital supporters who can help create environments of trust, prayer, and peace when equipped with understanding and confidence 7cd512ae-404b-4f96-b09d-b6ac6bf….
