Dr. Cheryl J. Washington serves as Program Director and lead faculty for the Redemptive Childbirth℠ Doula Certification Program. With a career rooted in labor and delivery nursing, education leadership, and community-based doula practice, she prepares birth workers to support families with professionalism, safety awareness, and compassionate presence.

Her instruction emphasizes culturally responsive care, bias-aware advocacy, and team-based collaboration—equipping doulas to communicate effectively, honor client autonomy, and support physiologic birth while collaborating respectfully with medical professionals.
